I’m happy to see that Gary Craig, EFT guru extraordinaire, has published my article about using EFT to rid myself of 30 year old tobacco cravings that were buried in my energy field.  EFT, if you don’t know, is a relatively new method of dealing with emotional, and sometimes physical distress by tapping lightly on acupuncture points.

Emotional freedom technique, along with other components of energy medicine, can remove emotional distress, addictive cravings, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder and more. EFT tapping can also help, or even cure, physical conditions.

I’m pleased to be mentioned on Gary’s site. The article is found at How cigarette cravings led to major emotional release with EFT

This much televised webinar with Oprah Winfrey and Eckhart Tolle has like a gazillion people logging on to watch or participate. It’s nothing short of amazing that so many people, worldwide, are interested in helping the world become a better place. The concept behind Eckart Tolle’s latest book, The Good Earth: Awakening to your Life’s Purpose, is that we change the collective consciousness by changing our own consciousness. It makes sense to me. It also requires each individual to take complete and total responsibility for himself or herself.

Personal responsibility, in this time of blaming other people, events and circumstances is not a popular approach. Its encouraging to see so many people are interested in having a better life, both personally and collectively.

Despite the criticisms that get leveled at Oprah, you have to admire what she chooses to achieve with her great power and wealth. And as for Tolle, he’s a remarkably unassuming man who seems to be uninfluenced by the personal and professional status he’s achieved. I admire him — and not just because he lives in Vancouver, my home town.

I have a Squidoo Lens about the Webinar. It will be updated every week after the event. I invite interested people to visit my lens and leave their comments and experiences with this remarkable project.Eckhart Tolle’s The Good Earth. Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

Ecosexual is the new cool. It’s the latest trend, and as all good business people know, its smart to be among the first to start marketing to an identified trend.

An ecosexual, a term coined by Wired Magazine, referred to “a person who’s into hybrid cars, low-energy lightbulbs and recycling.” Although this definition might apply to anyone who is environmentally conscious, the term has morphed into a somewhat more narrow meaning. Wordspy defines it as “A single, environmentally conscious person with a strong aesthetic sense.” Vancouver Sun columnist Miro Cernetig, carries it a step further with, “great GQ grooming grafted with perfect urban greenness.”

Think in terms of a triathlete wearing designer suits made of hemp and watching The 11th Hour for entertainment. (The 11th hour is Leonardo DiCaprio’s environmental film).

So, in terms of marketing opportunities, what do ecosexuals want?

For starters, they want to date other ecosexuals. Internet stories abound of starcrossed lovers who were dumped by their beloved for failing to be sufficiently environmentally conscious. Eco-friendly dating sites are springing up, seeking to match ecosexual to ecosexual.

Ecosexuals also want information about environmentally friendly products — products that are both cool and environmentally friendly, that is. Think consumer reports (delivered electronically or on recycled paper), high end clothing, food, movies and DVDs, Smart cars and hybrids, eco-friendly tourism and travel, recyclable anything, self-care products — and almost anything else that a trendy, cool person might want — provided it has an environmentally friendly spin.

And just how big is this market? Clearly, it depends on geography, but its a demographic that is growing. Vancouver pollster Ipsos-Reid discovered that the green market is shifting. Once rooted in youthful idealism, the trend now encompasses the aging baby boomers who are increasingly interested in helping to save the planet. The Ipsos Reid survey discovered that the green trend encompasses several generational lines — and is growing

As Cernetig said, “green is the new black.” Shouldn’t you be catering to this demographic to put some “green” in your wallet?
